I am designer, maker, content creator and artist based in North London. I teach textile-based crafts and know that there is a lot to be gained from the act of making something with your hands, and allowing yourself to be in the moment, one stitch at a time. I have yet to find a craft I didn’t enjoy, and really enjoy helping people find the right craft for them.
I studied costume design at Wimbledon School of Art and have worked in the costume departments of a number of London theatres; most notably I was the Wardrobe Mistress for Ballet Black for 12 years. I spent a number of years designing and making bespoke wedding dresses from my studio.
After a life-changing brush with cancer, I am now taking life a little more slowly working part time while studying for a Masters in History of Art. I run online group craft sessions which are suitable for absolute beginnners through to the more experienced and love helping people find their creativity in a tangible way. Past sessions include weaving, origami, sashiko, cross stitch, embroidery, collage and more. I have also taught beginners knitting and crochet, and introduction to using a sewing machine.
You can find my Etsy shop HERE which is gradually being filled with things from my over-stuffed studio including silks of all kinds, vintage trimmings and haberdashery.
